Data Privacy
We take the protection of our users’ personal data very seriously and strictly comply with data protection laws. The data collected is protected by technical and organizational measures to the best of our ability. We use personal data to provide our services and delete it as soon as it is no longer necessary for its intended purpose or if there are no legal retention obligations. This statement is intended to give you an overview of what types of data are collected, for what purpose, and how they are protected. We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to adapt it to changes in legal requirements, our services, or data processing. However, this applies only to explanations regarding data processing. If user consent is required or parts of the privacy policy contain provisions regarding the contractual relationship with users, changes will only be made with the users’ consent.
Automatic Data Processing on This Website
When you access our websites, information is automatically stored in our “server log files” that your browser transmits to us. This includes: browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), hostname of the accessing computer (IP address), and the time of the server request. These data cannot be attributed to specific individuals for technical reasons. A merging of this data with other data sources (e.g., email addresses) does not take place. The data is also used only for error correction and is deleted at the latest after one week.
I. Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies in several places. These make our offerings more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files stored on your device and saved by your browser. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that this may prevent you from using all functions of this website fully. Cookies do not harm your device and do not contain viruses. Personal data is not stored in connection with cookies. You can also use this online offering without cookies, but this may lead to functional limitations.
II. SSL Encryption
To protect your transmitted data as best as possible, our website uses SSL encryption. You can recognize this encrypted connection by the prefix https:// in your browser’s address bar or by a lock symbol next to it. Any data you transmit to our website (e.g., via the contact form) cannot be read by third parties thanks to SSL encryption.
III. Right to Access and Correction
You have the right at any time to receive free information about the type and scope of the data stored about you, its origin, the purpose of storage and processing, and to correct any inaccurate data.
IV. Objection to (Further) Data Processing and Use
You can revoke your consent for the processing of your personal data and its use for providing the respective services at any time. Furthermore, objecting to further data use naturally means that you will no longer receive the respective services (newsletter, etc.) and that the provision of the respective service will be immediately stopped on our side. Your personal data will be immediately deleted in this context. If you have questions that this privacy policy does not answer or if you want more detailed information on a specific point, please contact us at any time:

Newsletter
I. Content of the Newsletter
We send newsletters, emails, and other electronic notifications containing professional and/or promotional information (hereinafter “newsletter”) only with the recipients’ consent or a legal permission (“unambiguous consent”). Our newsletter contains industry information on news, developments, events, as well as clearly marked promotional content. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it and to the procedures described.
II. Registration and Logging
By entering your name and valid email address, you can subscribe to our newsletter on this website. Registration is done using a double opt-in process, meaning you will receive an email to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to ensure no one can register with a third-party email address. Registration is logged in Brevo, our newsletter service provider (see III. Use of the Service Provider “Brevo”) to demonstrate compliance with legal requirements. This includes storing the registration and confirmation time, email address, user-provided name, IP address, time zone, location, and language.
III. Use of the Service Provider “Brevo”
The newsletter is sent via Brevo, a newsletter platform by Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin. Email addresses, names, and activities of our newsletter recipients are stored on Brevo’s servers. Brevo uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf.
IV. Statistical Collection and Analysis
Newsletters contain a “web beacon,” i.e., a pixel-sized file retrieved from Brevo’s server when the newsletter is opened. This retrieval collects technical information, such as browser and system data, as well as your IP address and the time of access. This information is used to improve our services and analyze readership behavior. We conduct monthly statistical evaluations of the number of subscribers reached per newsletter, the open rate, and the click rate. While technically assignable to individual recipients, our analyses are not linked to personal data.
V. Correction and Unsubscription/Revocation
You can correct your data and unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Doing so simultaneously revokes your consent for Brevo to send the newsletter and for statistical analyses. A separate revocation is not possible. Links for data correction and unsubscribing are included at the end of each newsletter.
Contact Form
If you submit inquiries via our contact form, your data, including contact information, will be stored to process the inquiry and for any follow-up questions. These data will not be shared without your consent.
Processing of data entered in the contact form is based solely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time via a simple email notification. The legality of data processing carried out until revocation remains unaffected.
The data entered in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent, or the purpose of storage no longer applies (e.g., after processing your inquiry). Mandatory legal provisions, particularly retention periods, remain unaffected.
Join Us Form
If you submit a “Move” via this form, we process the data you provide—especially name, age, email, country, and your Move—exclusively to handle your submission.
Your contact information (name, email, country) is used to process your submission or clarify any questions.
Your Move will be stored and published only if you explicitly allow this in the corresponding checkbox.
If you consent, you may receive further information by email.
Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time, e.g., via email. The legality of processing prior to revocation remains unaffected.
Your data will only be stored as long as necessary to process your Move or until you revoke your consent. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.
Note on Publication:
Only Moves for which you have consented to publication will be published on our website. You can change your decision at any time by contacting us.
Cloudflare Turnstile
To protect against spam and automated entries, we use Cloudflare Turnstile on this form. Technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and possibly cookies are collected and transmitted to Cloudflare. Processing is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
For more information about data processing by Cloudflare, please see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Web Analytics with Matomo
We use the open-source software Matomo to analyze and statistically evaluate the use of our website. No cookies are set in the process.
The information collected (e.g., pages visited, time spent on the site, device type, browser type) is stored exclusively on our server.
Your IP address is anonymized before storage so that it cannot be linked to any individual.
The data is not shared with third parties.
Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, with our legitimate interest in optimizing our online presence.
